I recently attended the Drift Nationals held at Eastern Creek on the 28th of June. It was a great event, and my first time photographing a drift event, and using my new telephoto lens. I thought it was a great event, and that the photos turned out great. Check them out here: Drift National Photos

I also went to the premiere SuperLap event at Oran Park on the 5th of July. It is a time trial attack, similar to those held in the USA and Japan. It was an amazing event, with some amazing cars turning out. I have never seen cars fly past me faster than I have at this event, it was utterly amazing. The guys in the Hi Octane R32 GTR were quickest right behind the two series 1 Exige's, which is quiet a feat, considering weight and aero differences. The R35 GTR also made an appearance, doing a 1:17 on semi-slicks, amazing considering the fastest was 1:12 done by the Exige (all the times are here).
